Michael Jackson: Did He Just Want to Hang Out With Kids? (Part 2 of 2)

In Part 1 of this blog I mentioned Bob Jones Book ("Michael Jackson:  The Man Behind the Mask"). I must admit I haven't really liked giving reference to this book, because for me this book is nothing more than the ramblings of a disgruntled ex-employee. I know I have said that before in regards to Bob Jones, but it can't be said enough believe me. Yes, I have given some credence to Jones and given him credit for writing some stuff that did make some sense, such as the reason Michael Jackson ultimately married his second wife Debbie Rowe, which I talked about in a previous blog entry entitled: "MichaelJackson's Second Wife:  Did She ReallyLove Him?  (Part 1 of 3)

Once again, I still find most of this book unbelievable as the stuff I'm about to go into now. As stated, Bob Jones accused Michael Jackson in this book of only wanting to hang out with kids, he stated once the kids got older Michael would get rid of them. So is there any truth to this?

Let's take a closer look and see.  Now, I know the day before Michael Jackson's death it was reported that his long time friend, Miko Brando, the son of Marlon Brando was at the "This is It" rehearsal with him.  Now the last time I checked Miko was not a child, right?  He is a grown man, and he and Michael have been good friends for years.  Then there was another report that Michael had co-written a comic book with Dr. Deepak Chopra's son, Gotham in March of 2009', to whom he first met when he was a teenager, but now Gotham is in his thirties.  Their friendship has obviously continued regardless of the fact that Gotham is now older.

Gotham Chopra wrote together.
Then in 2001' when Michael performed at his fortieth anniversary in show business concert actor, Macaulay Culkin was there and sat next to Elizabeth Taylor.  There is a photo of him and Michael having a conversation.
(See photo below at this event).

Macaulay also testified in Michael Jackson's 2005' child molestation trial defending his longtime friend.

As many of you know Michael first met Macaulay Culkin when he was a young kid and now that Macaulay is older that they had remained friends.  Macaulay was also seen at Michael Jackson's private funeral at Forest Lawn Cemetery with his girlfriend.

Then there was comic, Chris Tucker who Michael has a longtime friendship with and they even did the video together, "You Rock My World".

The last time I check Christ Tucker was well over eighteen years old.  Marlon Brando and Miko Brando were also featured in this production as well.  Also, let's not forget a person by the name of Dave Dave.  Michael met this guy when he was very young due to a story Jackson had heard about this boy's father setting him on fire and severely burning him.  Dave Dave appeared on "Larry King Live on CNN news" and talked about how he and Michael had remained friends throughout the years.  And, yes Dave Dave is way over twenty-one years old now.

And as much as many of us might not want to acknowledge this Michael Jackson and Dr. Conrad Murray had become friends.  They met in 2006' and their friendship grew.  Now granted I only have Murray's take on this, but it does seem somewhat logical, since Michael obviously trusted this man with his life.  It's too bad that the trust was short lived.

So the question still remains did Michael Jackson just want to hang out with kids?  My take on this is no, but in the same breath I think the reason Michael probably liked being around kids at times is because they didn't treat him like a superstar and that they didn't want anything from him like most adults did.  I think he also found a part of his childhood that he was missing.  It was stated in his 2005' child molestation trial that a note written by Jackson in one of his books, which was seized amongst the police raided items read:

"Look at the true spirit of happiness and joy in these boys faces this is the spirit of Boyhood.  A life I never had and will always dream of." (Michael Jackson)
